Julphan Tilapornputt is a jazz guitarist originally from Thailand, currently resides in Brooklyn, New York.
Julphan combines an intriguing mix of influences, Julphan's music features sophisticated guitar-centric compositions mixing classical elements and jazz improvisation. All of these things are on display on Julphan’s debut albums, Inspired (2012) and Regards to You II (2016)
Julphan graduated Bachelor degree of guitar performance from Berklee College of Music and earned a Master degree of Jazz Studies from New York University.
Julphan arranged music and performed for Sound of The King concert, the king of Thailand remembrance concert in Boston, MA.
He has led performances in notable venues such as
Berklee Performance Center, Shapeshifter Lab, Bar Next Door
The Lilypad and Saxophone Pub
In 2017, Julphan launches a new project which is a performance platform for emerging artists in New York City, “Addicted East Tones” (aetones.com).
Julphan has performed with Tewan Supsanyakorn, legendary Thai jazz saxophonist and has studied with jazz masters such as Adam Rogers. Joe Lovano, Peter Bernstein, Mick Goodrick, Jean-Michel Pilc and Tim Miller.
